Hi Martina! Thanks so much for your kind comment! I’m moving forward with the decipherment process, discovering the meaning of the direction in which the knots were tied (clockwise or counterclockwise). But it’s slow, as you can imagine. Have a Happy New Year! Best, Sabine

I am utterly fascinated by the quality and constance of your painstaking and patient work! Even more so, knowing the enterprise has been conceived and made possible by the never-ending tenaciousness of a single individual. It is a work of science, art, history, literature, anthropology all combined, and its aftermath will keep developing for long time thereafter. Praise to Dr. Hyland for her valuable insight, and to National Geographic for sponsorship of a potentially controversial, but highly appealing, research and ensuing TV documentary.
